GUEST COMMENTS

This B & B lies in the residential area of Villa Ada, one of the largest public parks in Rome which is just down the street, It is also not far from Villa Borghese, another major public park and the home of the Borghese Gallery, one of the most famous in Italy and a major tourist attraction.
The B & B located on a 2nd floor, is perfect for a couple, and has its own private entrance into a spacious unit with two large windows that look out onto a park-like area. There is a small balcony with a table and chairs on which guests may have their breakfast or just relax after a day of touring Rome. There is a French double bed (140 cm/55 in) that is separated from the main area by a free-standing closet; a living room area with a sofa, table and chairs and a portable fan; a mini-kitchen set into the wall with electric stove top units and a small refrigerator allowing guests to prepare simple meals at home; and a bathroom with a stall shower. The apartment has its own gas heating system.  Breakfast will be served by the hosts who will also be pleased to provide information on public transportation and tourist attractions. A baby cot is available upon request. Smoking is allowed. Small pets are welcomed. Although this accommodation is outside the historical center all major tourist attractions are within a 10-30 minute bus ride away. For the active walkers Villa Borghese is about 1,5 km. (a mile) away and the Via Veneto of “La Dolce Vita” fame is just slightly further. There are also many buses to the historic center and to the Stazione Termini (the main railroad station) where transportation, including the subway, is readily available to all sections of the city. Via Salaria, one of the major ancient Roman roads, is at the end of the street along with the entrance to a most unusal tourist site, the Catacombs of Priscilla. This catacomb was used for Christian burials from the late second century through the fourth century and in antiquity was known as the "Queen of the Catacombs" because seven early Popes and many martyrs were buried there.

Distances:

- Catacombs of Priscilla 950 mt.
- Galleria Borghese 1,6 km.
- Via Veneto 2,6 km.
