It is on the 5th floor of an elevator building on via Flaminia between the Piazza del Popolo and the Renzo Piano designed Parco della Musica, the wonderful auditorium in Rome. The home, renovated in 2012, is spacious and bright. Though Via Flaminia is a major thoroughfare the inside of the home is very quiet even when the windows are open.

The Flaminio area is connected to the center of town by a tram that runs on special tracks allowing it to move rapidly through Rome's traffic. Tram No. 2 passes just below the house and in 5 minutes is at Piazzale Flaminio and Piazza del Popolo. The Flaminio station of Subway Line A is available at Piazzale Flaminio and makes connections throughout Rome. Piazza del Popolo is one of the grand piazzas in Rome with its Renaissance gate and twin churches designed by Bernini. From here it is a pleasant walk into the historical center of Roma to such historical sights as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, etc.
The area around the apartment provides a different atmosphere for those who do not want the stress of the constant bustle and noise of the historic center of Rome. Within ten minutes it is possible to be immersed in the Renaissance and Baroque world without giving up the quiet of the neighborhood.
The National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia is nearby as is Villa Borghese; within walking distance is the new Parco Della Musica where the most important cultural events (including the Rome Film Festival) have their home. There is the Maxxi museum (Museum of XXI Century Arts) designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid and the Flaminio stadium and the Olympic Stadium which host the two local soccer teams as well as the matches of the "Six Nations Rugby tournament". In the local area there are many restaurants and bistrot for lunch or dinner or a quick snack; clothes shops; groceries and an organic food store.

A travelers note: Subway Line A stops at the Stazione Termini, the main RR terminal of Rome, where there is a direct train to Fiumicino Airport. At the last stop on Line A, the Anagnina Station, there is a bus that connects to Ciampino Airport.
Any initial check in later than 10pm will require an extra payment of 15 Euros (to be paid upon arrival).
