This bed and breakfast is in an elegant apartment on the top (fifth) floor of an early 1900ís building just two blocks from one of the most famous streets in Rome, the Via Veneto. The Via Veneto became internationally famous when Federico Fellini used it as a focal point in his film, LA DOLCE VITA, in 1960.
There is an elevator to the fourth floor and from there a short flight of stairs leads to this sunny and quiet apartment which has its own large terrace.
The owner has taken great care in color coordinating the interior furnishings and the terrace by using green fabric sofa coverings to create a continuum of color between the inside room and the beautiful flowered terrace. The arrangement and the design creates the main focal point of the house.
The air conditioned bedroom overlooks a quiet courtyard and can accommodate two persons in a double room. The room has a TV, an Internet WiFi connection, a small bookcase, a desk and a closet. The bathroom suite, which is directly in front of the room, has a spacious shower and offers a hair dryer. The section of the apartment reserved for B&B guests is separated from the rest of the house by a passage closed off by a curtain.
Breakfast is served in an area adjacent to the living room, or - in the summer months - on the terrace.
Smoking and pets are not permitted.

This accommodation is in a wonderful section of the city and within 2 blocks of the American Embassy. It is just a 20 minute walk to the historical center (and even less when using public transportation) where some of the historical sights that can be seen include the Campo deĎ Fiori, the Piazza Navona, the Pza Venezia, the Forum, and the Colosseum. Other famous sights of Rome that are within a Ĺ mile radius include the Spanish Steps and the elegant shopping area around it, the Trevi Fountain, the Villa Borghese and the Borghese Gallery. Other historical monuments included in that area are the Basilica of S. Maria degli Angeli, a magnificent church designed by Michelangelo and built within the ancient Baths of Diocletian (the largest and most impressive Roman baths ever built) and the National Roman Museum in the Piazza dei Cinquecento in front of the Stazione Termini. Also, within a very short walk from the B&B are: the elegant Palazzo Barberini (reopened as a museum) which was the home of the very powerful 16th & 17th century Roman family that was deeply involved in Roman & Vatican politics; the Bernini and Borromini churches on via XX Settembre; the Quirinale Palace, the home of the President of the Italian Republic; and the Scuderie del Quirinale, a wonderful space across from the Palace site of many important temporary special art exhibits.
Two subway stops all within a 10 minute walk from the B&B, one at Pza Barberini and the other at Pza della Repubblica, provide easy transportation to all sections of Rome.
