This large, air conditioned, 90 sqm (975 sq ft) apartment is on the 1st floor of a non-elevator 15th century “palazzetto” in the very center of ancient Rome within walking distance to 2 of the most interesting sights of Rome: Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona. It is situated on a side street in the area which makes it an exciting location outside with a low noise level inside.
The unit is simply decorated and it can accommodate up to 5 persons. It has wood beam ceilings and terra cotta tile floors;
a main bedroom with a queen size bed; a spacious living room with both a double sofa bed and 2 single sofa beds and an entrance area with a TV;
two bathrooms, each with a stall shower and a hairdryer; and an equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, a regular range and oven, a microwave oven, and an iron and ironing board. There is a safe and Internet WiFi for guest use.
A baby cot is available upon request.
Next door to the building is a laundromat.
The owner speaks French and some English.
If there is a large party traveling together there is a second unit available in the building, code 067, on the second floor which can accommodate an additional 6 people.
The Palazzo Farnese (currently the French Embassy) is just around the corner with its magnificent piazza. Also around the corner is the Palazzo Spada one of the most elegant examples of a baroque residence. Although it houses an excellent art gallery it is most famous for having in its garden the Borromini Perspective, a landmark discovery in the history of art. The Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful piazzas in Rome, is a 5 minute walk away. The equally famous centuries old “Roman style” open air market in Campo de’ Fiori has all the Italian ingredients one needs for preparing true Italian dishes and there are many other shops such as the famous Roscioli bakery, a supermarket, pharmacies, restaurants and banks in this lively area. Many of the most historical tourist sites such as the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Coliseum are all within easy walking distance and public transportation is readily available to all other sections of Rome.Extra charge of €25 for check-in between 8pm and midnight, of €50 after midnight.
