Imagine stepping out of one’s home and seeing all around the wonders of ancient Rome. On one side the Capitoline Hill and the Campidoglio with Michelangelo’s celebrated piazza around which are the Capitoline Museums. On the other side the church of San Giorgio al Velabro and the Bocca della Verità (the mouth of truth) and the Roman Forums. Just a short distance further are the Coliseum and the Circo Massimo. That is the view that awaits one from this little jewel of a ground floor apartment whose front door opens directly onto this beautiful sight. The apartment, all in white, has been redesigned by an architect who has subdivided the inside space for maximum function and efficiency. The entrance is into a living/dining area which has a double sofa bed, a dining table, a TV, a CD player, a large bookcase and the famous Le Corbusier Chaise Longue chair. The corner kitchen is at a 2 step elevation and separated from the living area by a counter. It has a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer and microwave oven. The bedroom, which continues the white decorative motif, has a queen size bed and a wide screen TV. The bathroom has a stall shower and a hairdryer. The unit is air conditioned.
The hosts speak Italian,English and French. Check in must be after 12 pm.
As this unit is in the Centro Storico it is not recommended arriving by car. However, if you must do so the host offers private parking for an extra fee of 20 euros per day.
Most historic sights are all within walking distance from the apartment. In addition, there are many buses in the area that cover all areas of Rome and also go to the subways.
