This 70 sqm (750 sq ft), light and airy apartment with its historical 4 meter (12 ft) wooden beam ceilings and terracotta floor tiles, is on the second floor of a non-elevator 15th century “palazzetto” in the centro storico area known as Campo de’ Fiori. As it is on a side street which leads into Campo de' Fiori it is in a relatively quiet location for being in such a vibrant area. The flat is simply decorated and can accommodate up to 6 people in its two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed, a single chair-bed and a TV: the other bedroom has twin beds which can be joined together. A spacious living room has an additional single sofa-bed. There are two bathrooms each with a stall shower and a hair dryer. An equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, gas stove and electric oven for preparing meals and a small eating area with a table and chairs. The apartment has an Internet WiFi connection, its own heating system and a fan for cooling in the summer. This apartment is truly in the center of historical Rome. The Palazzo Farnese (currently the French Embassy) is just around the corner with its magnificent piazza. The Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful piazzas in Rome, is a 5 minute walk away. The equally famous centuries old “Roman style” open air market in Campo de’ Fiori has all the Italian ingredients one needs for preparing true Italian dishes and there are many other shops such as the famous Roscioli bakery, a supermarket, pharmacies, restaurants and banks in this lively area.
Many of the most historical tourist sites such as the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Coliseum are all within easy walking distance and public transportation is readily available to all other sections of Rome.
